An innovative, technologically advanced way to promote vibrant, healthy looking skin in men and women. Genesis brings back a youthful appearance by treating conditions that associated with aging and sun damage, such as excessive redness, large pores, uneven texture and wrinkles.
The Laser Genesis procedure utilizes laser technology to safely, discretely and effectively treat scars and diffuse excessive redness. Laser Genesis is a comfortable, non-ablative, non-invasive form of skin therapy. Doctors and patients have noticed dramatic improvement in uneven skin texture and tone, large pores and fine wrinkle lines. You can expect to see subtle yet consistent results after each treatment, without unwanted side effects such as bruising or excessive skin irritation. Treatment is painless, requiring no anaesthetics or downtime.
What areas can be treated?
Genesis patients report excellent results over their face, neck and décolleté (upper chest). Additionally, this therapy can diminish recent scars on other parts of the body and stretch marks following recent pregnancy or major weight change. It can also reduce the prominence of traumatic or surgical scars.
What is diffuse redness?
Diffuse redness is a general appearance of facial redness caused by dilated capillaries, resulting in poorly defined vessels. The most commonly affected areas are the nose, forehead and cheeks. Diffuse redness is often associated with a condition called rosacea. Genesis therapy helps by gently reducing this condition.
What does the procedure feel like?
Patients often describe the treatment as relaxing and therapeutic. You will experience a gentle warming of your skin’s surface during the procedure as the laser handpiece is moved back and forth, about ½ inch above your skin. You can immediately return to normal activities, utilizing sunscreen. Although patients report few if any side effects, the most common is a slight redness that disappears within a few hours.
How does Laser Genesis work?
By gently heating the upper dermis well below your skin’s surface, Laser Genesis skin therapy stimulates collagen regrowth. Additional heat is generated in dilated capillaries to reduce redness. The treatment results are often subtle. On average, four to six treatments are recommended, but every patient’s condition and needs vary. That is why Dr. Kelada-Sedra consults each patient on his or her goals before treatment.
What kind of textural improvements can be expected with Laser Genesis?
Over the course of four to six treatments, Laser Genesis therapy can help restore your skin’s youthful glow and appearance by smoothing out uneven textures caused by aging, sun damage or scars. You will see a creamy, healthy complexion as large pores are reduced in size, and minor imperfections are diminished. The individual treatment results are subtle, but the overall effect of multiple treatments can be quite dramatic.
